Don't put all your eggs in one basket during your job search.

Employers do not put their eggs in one basket. They usually interview several candidates before selecting the finest one. So why should you, as a job seeker, put all your eggs in one basket and wait for a response? You may believe that you are the "ideal" candidate for this position; no one else has more or better experience than you; the employer would be crazy not to hire you; and so on. From your perspective, all of this may be true, but you have no idea what is going on the other side of the interview table.

It is usually such job seekers who are upset when their job hunt is put on hold in the hopes of landing the job for which they have been interviewed.

Even if you have the most experience and education, someone better may be available, so prepare yourself to believe that even if you have a strong chance of getting the job, someone better may be available. As a result, you should send out as many applications as possible. You'll have a better chance of getting additional interviews and finally a job if you do this. You may find yourself in a situation where you have many offers to pick from as a result of your strategy.

This will not only enhance your confidence, but it will also put you in control of your job search.

Always apply to various positions, regardless of how sure you are in one role. If everything works out, that's fantastic. If they don't, you'll be glad you persevered.

When they are interviewed, many job seekers put their job search on hold. Yes, being interviewed is a positive indication, indicating that not only did your CV land you an interview, but you also possess the abilities and experience that the company seeks. What you don't know is who they're looking for in the first place. You will not be the only one being interviewed. Yes, you read that correctly. By the time you are shortlisted for an interview, the competition may have been greatly reduced, but there may still be other people competing for the same job, candidates who may be better than you.

Don't think that just because the interview went well, you should just wait for a job offer. You can't be certain you'll get the job because you don't know who else the company is interviewing; else, you can wind up waiting indefinitely.

In your job search, the "don't put your eggs in one basket" moral suggests that you should keep applying, attending interviews, and networking until you have received your desired job offer from a company.
