New name, expanded offering: Jobopenings.co.ug becomes Ujuzingo

Jobopenings.co.ug has rebranded to Ujuzingo to reflect growth and target a wider global audience. The rebrand to Ujuzingo reflects the way the brand has grown and expanded in recent years.

We are transitioning from a local job-board to bring remote job opportunities to our users and have our services enjoyed by a global audience, for this reason we have also changed from a country code top-level domain (ccTLD) to a top level domain (TLD). The jobopenings.co.ug brand was launched in December 2016 as a local job-board, but over the years we have also identified potential to expand our offering to include training and development in addition to the job-board.

The change to Ujuzingo, involves the release of a new logo, a new URL and a gradual website redesign that will work with our growing business model.

A word from our CEO: Henry Mubiru

"This decision symbolizes how far we've come and how far we still have to go. Specifically, jobopenings.co.ug represents where we've been, and Ujuzingo represents where we're going. In Swahili Ujuzi means expertise, experience, skill, knowledge and or technique therefore "get the skills and go, the sky will be the limit". We will be able to provide training and bring jobs opportunities to our users. "Our commitment remains to assist job seekers put their best foot forward and search for opportunities that meet their skills and career aspirations, while also assisting employers in finding more job ready applicants.”

Maintaining jobopenings.co.ug shows our dedication to the business that helped us get here.

Since December 2016, Jobopenings.co.ug has been one of the most popular job boards for companies to find candidates and job seekers to discover job vacancies. As Ujuzingo, we will continue to accomplish the same, if not better.
