SNV Netherlands Development Organisation

  • Kampala, Uganda

SNV is a not-for-profit international development organization which was founded in the Netherlands in 1965; and currently has global presence in 38 developing countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America; with a workforce of 1300 personnel who come from a variety of cultural and technical backgrounds; 80% of whom are nationals of the countries where we work. SNV has been present in Uganda since 1989 and is dedicated to a society in which all people, irrespective of race, class or gender enjoy the freedom to pursue their own sustainable development; advance local capacities and empower communities and families to break the continuing cycle of poverty. As an organization, we focus on the Agriculture, Water Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) and Energy sectors within Uganda and believe that partnerships are critical to improving both the effectiveness and impact of our work.
