Description

The purpose of the Planning & Performance Manager role is to continuously drive Uganda’s Jinja Supply costs to an optimal level by coordinating in a challenging fashion the Financial Planning and Performance

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Define and Lead the process for Supply Uganda 
  • Relevant University degree in finance or related field  

  • Solid knowledge of financial accounting and control activities  

  • Good knowledge of audit, tax and treasury activities  

  • Experience in Product Costing  

  • Expertise in Project Management, problem assessment and solving skills 

  • Good communication skills  

  • Excellent presentation skills, able to convey a clear message (storyline building), making complex matters easy for understanding  

  • Strong business acumen, having a wide understanding of other key AB InBev business areas (Safety, Quality, Brewery operations, Logistics, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, Finance, etc…)  

  • Working in a process-oriented organization 

  • Working in a multi-cultural environment  

  • High level of service mindset

  • Communicate annual plan calendar, milestones and PIs   
  • Monitor annual plan calendar implementation on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis together with regional PPM/NoCC and other functions on a need basis 
  • Define departmental targets to deliver on 3YP and Zone targets 
  • Partner with country, BU and zone procurement on estimating properly all price escalations as well as on identifying and quantifying Procurement Initiatives 
  • Provide the facts and figures for all relevant budget calculations 
  • Ensure all initiatives are properly embedded in the budget, while avoiding double counting  
  • Ensure final budget is properly uploaded in all relevant tools (Anaplan, Syspro, SAP) 
  • Partner with Logistics and Commercial PPMs on identifying cost impact of their Initiatives on supply 
  • Assist the price and performance PPM with CTRM inputs (Commodity tracking & risk management) for transactional FX and commodity exposures within VIC 
  • Lead the ZBB budget process for the plant and ensure all guidelines, templates and timelines are adhered to  
  • Support on the completion of the CAPEX budget as required 
  • Prepare Full Year Forecast outlook (LE) for the Uganda supply department, for financial and operational KPIs 
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve results 
  • Identify risks, respective route causes and identify gap closing action plans 
  • Consolidate and report LE to the BU & Zone supply PPM team 
  • Ensure the monthly LE is embedded in the regional LE submissions and balances back to BU submission 
  • Work closely with BU to understand any plugs in the LE and ensure these are highlighted to relevant teams and plans are put in place to address 
  • Define and drive the champions process for Supply Packages focusing on Price and Performance initiatives in line with zone guidelines, templates and timelines 
  • Accurately reporting on Price & Performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis  
  • Coordinate the actuals reporting process together with BU supply PPM team and NoCC 
  • Prepare management review presentations for Uganda respecting zone guidelines, templates and timelines 
  • Conduct financial evaluation of Business Projects (Business Case, annual Budget & 3YP). Follow up of related reporting and perform post appraisal assessments 
  • Support Plant Manager & HODS, PPM with operational reviews 
  • Validation of transfer prices where applicable  
  • Prepare monthly Deep Dive and T&M decks, respecting zone guidelines, templates and timelines 
  • Do control checks, review and adjust actuals if needed in alignment with control  
  • Stock take coordination at the site 
  • Enforcement of the Minimum Internal Controls (MICs) at the Site as per the policies 

Qualifications

  • Relevant University degree in finance or related field

  • Good communication skills

  • Computer skills (MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, etc) 
  • Good knowledge of consolidation & reporting tools 
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems 
  • Fluent English in speaking, reading and writing 
  • Strong business acumen, having a wide understanding of other key AB InBev business areas (Safety, Quality, Brewery operations, Logistics, Procurement, Sales, Marketing, Finance, etc)  
  • Working in a process-oriented organization
