FX Risk Manager

Vivo Energy South Africa are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented FX Risk Manager to join their team! The incumbent will need to be based in Cape Town and will report to the Chief Financial Officer. This role will form part of the Central Finance team and will focus on mitigating FX risk. The incumbent will act as an internal solution provider by analyzing risk situations in a complex and fast moving environment by providing best practice, best approach and optimal market execution.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Design and oversee risk management solutions, processes and systems for different commodity exposures
• Monitor and manage day-to-day FX exposures, in compliance with agreed open FX limits
• Hedge FX and IR exposures embedded into corporate acquisitions and projects
• Design and implement FX cost (opex/capex) hedging programs
• Execute full range of FX and rates instruments through internal/external systems
• Analyze and manage complex EM FX issues such as NDFs and offshore markets
• Grow and diversify the portfolio of FX and Rates suppliers
• Manage relationships with external banks FX desks
• Interact with payments and cash management teams to ensure smooth day-to-day handling
• Support trading and corporate functions with regards to FX and train internal staff
• Transfer best practices / facilitate standardization of processes across the company / jurisdictions

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or Computer Science from a top university
• Prior exposure to FX and Derivatives markets
• Proven experience in a Banking, Management consulting, Commodity trading company or other financially literate industry
• Proficient use of Data providers (Refinitv/Bloomberg/others), Excel (VBA) and MS Office (Outlook, PPT)
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, French will be an added value
• 8 yrs plus experience in dealing FX / Risk
• Good programming skills (Python)
